POPE AND PATRIARCH THEODOROS II HAS CONCLUDED HIS VISIT IN THE ORTHODOX COMMUNITIES IN KENYA.

The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Theodoros II has today November 28, 2020 completed his pastoral visit in Kenya. The Patriarch has been in kenya for close to a week visiting all the regions that comprise the Orthodox Church in kenya; Metropolis of Nairobi, Diocese of Nyeri and Mt. Kenya, Diocese of Kisumu and Western Kenya and Diocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya.

He concluded the visit by presiding over the memorial service of the first Kenyan Bishop who reposed in 1987- Bishop George Gathuna of Nitria. It was on the same ceremony that he elevated Fr. Evangelos Thiani as the Protopresbyter of the Patriarchal Throne of Alexandria !
