Κατά τη διάρκεια των εργασιών της Ιεράς Συνόδου της Ορθοδόξου Εκκλησίας της Ρουμανίας, η οποία συνήλθε την Παρασκευή 16 Δεκεμβρίου 2016, υπό την προεδρία του Μακαριωτάτου Πατριάρχου κ. Δανιήλ, η Ιερά Σύνοδος σημείωσε με λύπη την πρόσφατη εξέλιξη αρνητικών αντιδράσεων που σημειώνονται στη Ρουμανία με αφορμή την Αγία και Μεγάλη Σύνοδο της Ορθοδόξου Εκκλησίας (Κρήτη, 2016).
