PATRIARCH DANIEL CONGRATULATES PEOPLE FOR WEARING PROTECTION MASK AND KEEPING SOCIAL DISTANCE

After the Divine Liturgy held Monday for the feast of Saints Peter and Paul at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel thanked the people for joining the common prayer and urged them to adhere the basic measures for protection against COVID-19.

‘We thank all of you for coming and attending the Divine Liturgy. We congratulate all those who wear a mask and keep the distance,’ His Beatitude stressed June 29, 2020.
These days, continued Patriarch Daniel, it is very important “to continue to follow the recommendations given by doctors, because the number of infections with this very cunning virus, which when it recedes, when it returns, have increased. That is why we must continue to be very careful.”
‘Health is a gift from God and we are responsible for keeping it. This means that the gift must be kept and cultivated and recovered when we lose it.’
“The church is the institution that prays most for the health and salvation of people. In general, all prayers are summed up in this petition: we pray for the good health and salvation of all who believe in Christ, but also for the health and salvation of all people,” His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel added.
