Zelensky and Onufriy exchanged congratulations on Easter; the
churchman also congratulated the future head of the state on being
elected as the top official, wishing him 'God's blessing on the new and
responsible path of serving Ukraine and its people'.
The parties also discussed the situation in religious life in Ukraine.
Earlier on April 30, Zelinsky met the leader of Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy.
On April 30, the Central Election Commission
announced the results of the second round of the presidential elections
in Ukraine in 2019. Volodymyr Zelensky wins the presidential run with
73,22% of the votes, as Tetyana Slipachuk, the Head of the Central
Election Commission, said. Petro Poroshenko got 24,45% of the votes.
