Yesterday,
a meeting took place between the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and His
Beatitude, the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostom II, who is on a short
visit to Bulgaria. During the reception, feelings of brotherly love and
friendship were shared between the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the
Cyprus Archbishopric.
At the
meeting took part Metropolitan of Plovdiv, Nikolay, Metropolitan of
Nevrokop Seraphim, Metropolitan of Stara Zagora Kiprian, Metropolitan
Gregory of Vratsa, Metropolitan Daniel of Vidin and His Eminence Bishop
of Melnik Gerasim, Chief Secretary of Holy Synod.
The
reception ended with a wish for a long-standing ministry of Orthodox
Church, jealousy in sermon, and hopes for future meetings and ministry
before God’s throne.
As
a token of gratitude patriarch Neophyte received as a gift plaque with
images of St. Paul and St. Barnabas from Cyprus Archbishop Chrysostom
II. Patriarch Neophyte gave Cyprus Chrysostomos engolpion with image of
St. Kliment of Ohrid.
