Messages of support to the Church of Albania and the state authorities of the country that suffered the earthquake were sent by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
According to a statement from the Phanar, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew “under a synodal decision sent a message of sympathy to Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and all Albania and Mr. Ilir Meta, President of Albania, for the affected by the devastating earthquakes.”
