Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity |
The second year of the “Ut unum sint" Course on ongoing formation in ecumenism will commence in October.
The programme will include, among other things, the study of relations with Evangelicals and Pentecostals, and with the World Council of Churches, as well as reflections on crucial aspects such as communicatio in sacris, baptism, mixed marriages, and justice and peace. There will also be themes relating to the dialogue with Judaism, interreligious dialogue, and ecumenism in Italy.
Each module includes an ecumenical visit in Rome.
The Course, which was inaugurated in 2019 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the encylical Ut unum sint, is offered by the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of the Angelicum in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Lessons are given in Italian by professors of different Churches.
The programme involves a two-year study period. The initial enrolment within the programme can be undertaken at the beginning of either the first or second year.
