SAILING TO BYZANTIUM- FROM 1453- 1821 COMMEMORATIVE SERIES DEDICATED TO THE 200th YEAR ANNIVERSARY SINCE THE GREEK REVOLUTION 1821


 Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia

Part of the 2021 Bicentenary program of the National Committee of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.

The events are organized by St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in conjunction with The Department of Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies, University of Sydney and St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College.
We are very excited to announce our line up for this year’s series:
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios- «Ο Ορθόδοξος Κλήρος κατά την διάρκεια της Τουρκοκρατίας»- Thursday 13th May 2021 7p.m at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, Mascot.
Dr Mario Baghos, Senior Lecturer in Patristics- «The Fall of the City in 1453 and the Ecumenical Patriarchate.»
