SYNOD OF CONSTANTINOPLE APPROVES THE DRAFT CHARTER OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH IN UKRAINE

A press release on the decision of the Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate has just been issued in Istanbul. The date of the Unity Council has not been announced.

The document states:

“In the context of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s previously-made decision to provide autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church, and in anticipation of the issuance of the Patriarchal and Synodal Tomos, the Holy and Sacred Synod drafted the Ukrainian Church’s Constitutional Charter.”
