Archimandrite Kyrylo: Autocephaly in Ukraine Will Neutralize Kremlin Influence

Church has become an important security issue after Russia launched
aggressive actions against Ukraine, states Archimandrite Kyrylo
(Hovorun), a professor of theology at the Loyola Maryamount University
in Los Angeles, reports UNN.
“Kremlin exploited The Orthodox Church for serving political
purposes, and autocephaly will neutralize this negative influence,” said
Archimandrite Kyrylo.
He also added that “Hierarchs should lower their sights and create a
new church that will contribute to the consolidation of Ukrainian
society.”
