Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv referred to the repose of the Metropolitan of Langadas, Ioannis, on his social media.
On his personal account on Twitter, he said: “Sad news from Greece
today. The earthly journey of Metropolitan Ioannis of Langadas has been
completed. This hierarch loved Ukraine and the Ukrainian Church very
much, he worked hard to strengthen our relations. We pray for the rest
of his soul in the Heavenly Kingdom. May his memory be eternal!” orthodoxtimes
Сумна звістка надійшла сьогодні з Греції - завершився земний шлях митрополита Лангади владики Іоана. Цей ієрарх дуже любив Україну і Українську Церкву, багато попрацював для зміцнення наших зв’язків. Молимося за упокій його душі у Царстві Небесному. Вічна пам’ять!
