Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, 22 March, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Georgios. It is the third Sunday of Great Lent, also known as Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross. He wished that God would protect all people by the power of His Cross.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated today behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic. So, only priests and some laypeople of the Patriarchal Court attended the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. Metropolitans Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos and Maximos of Silyvria and Bishop Benjamin of Traleon were also present.
