PRESIDENT CONGRATULATED UKRAINIANS ON THE DECISION OF THE HOLY SYNOD OF THE ECUMENICAL PATRIARCHATE: THE TOMOS IS A CHARTER OF OUR SPIRITUAL INDEPENDENCE
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated Ukrainians on today's decision of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and informed that the Synod had approved the text of the Tomos on granting independence to the Ukrainian Church.
PRESIDENT: THE STATE HAS DONE EVERYTHING IT COULD AND SHOULD FOR THE TOMOS
In his address to Ukrainians, President Petro Poroshenko noted that “the state has done everything it could and should for the Tomos”.

Recalling the bringing of the honourable head of Saint Andrew to Bucharest in 2011, and the presence of his holy hand for the National Cathedral’s inauguration, Patriarch Daniel on Sunday said that it is Saint Andrew who has helped the building of the Cathedral.

A handful of commentators are wondering what issues might be discussed and resolved at the Ukrainian Council coming in December. My guess is that the council will elect a primate and establish an episcopate, with an All-Church council to follow later in 2019 to continue the unification process. A few items to keep in mind:
