Members of the Church of Greece’s permanent Holy Synod convened for a second straight day on Tuesday. According to reports, the written opinions of the chairmen of two synodical committees, tasked with reviewing the issue of the Tomos of Autocephaly for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, may be submitted.
Reports point to a positive recommendation towards Autocephaly for the Ukrainian Church, months after the Tomos was granted by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
In a related development, the new head of the Church of Greece’s central financial office, Archimandrite Nikodimos Farmakis, took an oath of office on Tuesday before Archbishop Ieronymos and the members of the permanent Holy Synod.
