METROPOLITAN OF KYIV: TODAY OUR PRAYER IS FOR THE MOTHERS WHO HAD AN ABORTION

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine lends a helping hand to women who have had an abortion while standing by the side of all mothers, either those raising their biological children or children they have adopted.

In his message for today’s International Mother’s Day, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and all Ukraine sent his wishes to all the women who “proudly support and protect the lives of the children entrusted to them by the Lord.”

“Our support and prayer today is also for those mothers who for some reason had an abortion. Repentance and prayer are able to bring you back, the Church is open for you in order to share the pain and to be by your side for consolation and spiritual support,” said Metropolitan Epifaniy in his message.
