Orientale Lumen Foundation
OL XXVI June, 2022
Nicaea and the Date of Pascha/Easter
Virtual Conference via Zoom
The Orientale Lumen XXVI Conference will be held as a "virtual" conference in June 2022 on the theme of "Nicaea and the Date of Pascha/Easter." Speakers will pre-record their lectures for viewing on YouTube in early June, and two 2-hour live, interactive panel discussions will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm EDT, and on Thursday, June 23 from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon EDT via Zoom video conference. We will also offer lectures with other background video material.
Instead of a registration fee, we are asking all participants make a minimum $50 donation toward humanitarian aid to refugees of the war in Ukraine. You can signup for the lectures or panel discussion separately. Recordings of the live panel discussion will be made available to those who register shortly after the conference. 100% of the donations collected will be divided between the Orthodox and Catholic churches of Ukraine. All registrations must be completed by June 20th to watch live. The Orientale Lumen Foundation is a 501(c)3 approved charitable institution, and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation. Links will be sent to only those who register for access to the videos and Zoom panel discussion. Questions can be submitted before the panel discussion or during the discussion. Advance questions will receive priority from the moderator.
The lectures and panel discussion will form the content for a 1 credit online course towards a masters degree in theology from the Byzantine Catholic Seminary later this summer.
