The next International Congress of the Society for the Law of the Eastern Churches will take place September 16-20, 2019 in Rome, Italy. This momentous occasion marks the 50th Anniversary since the founding of the Society and provides an opportunity for participants to reflect upon these fifty years of encounter and how canonical tradition has assisted in the development of the Ecumenical dialogue.

Conference Accommodation Rates:
Double room for one person: 65 euros/night plus taxes (3,50 euros)
Double room (2 persons): 85 euros/night plus taxes (3,50 euros per person)
Meals (lunch and dinner): 18-20 euros per person/per meal
Reservations are final only when the payment for the first night (without taxes) is received by Villa Aurelia.
There are a limited number of blocked rooms for the Congress. Should no more rooms be available, participants in the Congress must make their own reservations elsewhere.
Villa Aurelia will also be the location for a majority of the presentations.
If you intend to stay at other accommodations in Rome other than Villa Aurelia, but you would like to have meals at Villa Aurelia with the other members of the Society, then please fill out the registration form above accordingly.
Please note that it would be wise to arrive on Monday, September 16, before 4:30 p.m. if you would like to participate in the inauguration of the conference with our keynote speaker, His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople.
The conference will end on Friday, September 20, 2019 at noon.
